This discussion paper was commissioned by UNDP, the United Nations Economic Commission for Africa (ECA) and the African Development Bank (AfDB). It provides a historical perspective of the growth of the Textile and Apparel sector and its contribution to the growth journey of Mauritius and proposes policy options to re-invigorate the sector to meaningfully contribute to the desired transformation of the economy.
